Aim:

To ensure that leadership and management have regard for Part four KCSiE : Safeguarding concerns or allegations made about staff, including supply teachers, volunteers and contractors, and understand the allegations against procedures set out in Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership procedures 5.1.5, when carrying out their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

Standard- Skilled and Specialist Training - Highly recommended and this training “should” be undertaken unless there is good reason not to. ​

Audience – Senior managers and leadership - Headteacher, principal, DSL / DDSL proprietors ​

Timescale – Every 3 years​

Course Fee: £160.00 per delegate

Format – Face to face and Microsoft teams half day course​

Learning objectives:

  • Legislation, Statutory and local guidance​
  • The scale of abuse​
  • Profile of offending behaviours​
  • Responding to concerns or allegations that meet ‘harm threshold’ as per Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership procedures 5.1.5.
  • Responding to concerns and allegations that do not meet harm threshold, Low level concerns as per part four KCSiE.
  • Continuous vigilance of ongoing Safer Working Practice.​
