Course Fee academic year 2024/2025: £195 per delegate, half day training via Microsoft Teams
The DSL (and any deputies) should undergo training to provide them with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the role. This training should be updated at least every two years. Any deputies should be trained to the same standard as the DSL and the role should be explicit in their job description.

Targeted delegates: Senior leaders in the role of Designated Lead (DSL) for safeguarding and deputies (DDSL).
Prerequisites:
Completed safeguarding children training (SCT)
Attendance of DSL 2 Day training within the last 2 years
Ideally delegates should have completed Early Help Module (EHM) System training as Key Worker of Team Around the Family practitioner
DSL/DDSL to ensure prior to the training that they are able to access these websites as these are key practice guidances that will be used within the training to support your critical analysis of the case study exercises.

Aim
To ensure that all DSL/DDSLs have regard for Keeping Children Safe in Education and update their skills and knowledge every two years to understand any changes to national and local guidances that are required to enable DSLs to carry out their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
